This cohort is for you if…

✓

You work all week, you get home drained, and you want something that gives your body back to you instead of taking more from it.

✓

You love the music, you've wanted to dance salsa for years, and something keeps stopping you at the edge of the floor.

✓

You've tried a class before and left more confused about the count than when you walked in.

✓

You're an absolute beginner, or you're rebuilding your foundation on2 after learning on1.

✓

You want to feel at home in your own hips, your own posture, your own presence, not perform for anyone.

✓

You want six weeks with the same faces, the same room, and someone who actually remembers your name.

Same Sundays, same building, two different energies. Take one or take both.

What the six weeks look like

Built in order. Each Sunday stands on the one before it.

1

Activation

Wake the body up. Timing, weight, and finding the 2 without counting out loud.

2

Integration

Basics become yours. Posture, frame, and moving with the music instead of against it.

3

Drills

Repetition that builds instinct, so your feet stop waiting on your brain.

4

Depth

Texture and intention. The difference between doing the step and meaning it.

5

Turns

Spotting, balance, and clean exits. Turns that land instead of turns that survive.

6

The Stepping Stone

Everything together, on a social floor. You leave knowing you can walk into a party and dance.

Your Instructor

Yesica "Yessie" Bello · Founder, Bello Beat NYC

Yessie_Like_A_Snack_edited.jpg

She teaches what she had to build for herself

Yessie holds a bachelor's degree in intersectional women's studies with metaphysics, healing through movement. That's the lens she teaches through: the body as the place the work actually happens.

She started salsa in 2018, kept her foundation alive alone through the pandemic, and built Bello Beat NYC from nothing in a city that doesn't hand anything out. She teaches on2 the way she needed someone to teach it to her, slow enough to feel, honest enough to correct.

She reads deeply on neuroscience and somatic practice as a practitioner and a curious student, not as a credentialed scientist. What she teaches comes from the floor first.

Where to find her every week: co-instructing Baila Dance Party Wednesdays at Solas, and across NYC socials with the Fall Social Series.

From cohort one

"I loved how Yessie breaks down the music in words and even sound effects. It made tuning into the rhythm so much easier."

"Yessie's patience creates a safe space where 'mistakes' become tools for growth. Other instructors move fast, but Yessie takes the time to explain things clearly."

"Yessie's technique training on pivots and turn patterns goes beyond drilling. She connects it to real dancing, and I actually felt it click in my own feet."
